What horn is this?

I just got this horn in from a middle school and by doing some research I think it is a Conn 28D built between 1949-1955. It has no serial number that I found. Any information on it? Also if it is a 28D, what's the history on 28D production? Thanks

Connor, I remember where someone, somewhere [probably the Memphis Horn List] once said that 28Ds built during the Korean War lacked Nickel Silver components because NiSi was being pulled toward the war effort. It doesn't appear this horn has much in the way of NiSi trim, does it? I had a horn like this once and assumed the whole thing about the Korean War was true. Best, LD
