Name: William Rogan
City: Winter Park/Orlando
State: FL
Country: USA
Alloy: Yellow Brass
Bell: Fixed
Lacquer: Unlacquered
Case: Yes, fixed bell
Condition: Good
Other Details: 5 Valves F/Bb full double horn with A / stopping valve. Excellent condition for its age. I estimate this instrument was built in the 1920s - 1930s by or from the studio of C.A. Wunderlich im Vogtland. Case is included. I have used the horn professionally in symphony, opera and chamber ensembles. It is responsive in all registers and has a very rich, warm and yet compact sound that blends well. There are no dents or patches, and the valves are relatively tight (the horn is approximately 80 years old, at least). The apparent discoloration in the photos is the result of a natural patina. Given the age of the instrument, I am reluctant to polish it and in so doing wear down the brass. Own and play on a piece of history. Email me for more photos.Buyer pays for shipping.
Extras: Hard case.
