The ever popular 667! These horns have made it big and I still wonder why they stopped producing them. This one is still a pretty horn, but it does show signs of lacquer wear and ding repairs, although I saw no indications of solder work other than the duck's foot that was attached, so the horn remains nice and solid.
The valves are incredibly fast and quiet with new strings. They also feature the new super-soft bumpers that add to the quiet and also a little extra spring to the valve action. Slides all move fluidly with new lanolin grease.
The horn has a gorgeous tone with wonderful clarity of sound. Notching is excellent and it plays incredibly well overall. Fast, articulate passages are a breeze and it's capable of some amazing color in the sound extremes.
It comes with a backpack style case, but it has only the shoulder strap. Still quite portable though.
