Kevin Illick

I received my Master's Degree in Horn performance from University of New Mexico in '08 and studied with Susie Fritts and Peter Ulffers. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Horn Performance from University of Colorado in '06 and I studied with David Pinkow. I also went to the Aspen Music Festival in '05 and studied with David Wakefield. I have played with many groups from the DC area including several concerts at the Kennedy Center. I recently Moved to the Boston area and am currently looking for all types of opportunites. I have taken part in many small ensembles including brass and woodwind quintets, brass choirs and others. I have a large interest in Music Theory, in both tonal and atonal varieties, an have taken many advanced classes from some great theorists of the atonal theory world.

I have taught privately off and on beginning while I was in high school. I have substituted for D.C. Youth Orchestra group lessons. I was a marching band assistant for Albuquerque High School while in school there. Also I taught group lessons for various middle schools in the Albuquerque area and the Hummingbird Music Camp.
