Bachelor of Arts (Music) and Bachelor of Music (Orchestral Horn) from University of Washington. Teachers have included Barney Blough, David Kappy, Jeffrey Snedeker.
Teaching Experience
I've been teaching privately since 2004. One recent student graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor on music scholarship, focusing on orchestral horn as well as jazz. I work with the Academy of Music Northwest as a chamber music coach, working with high-school aged musicians, and additionally have teaching experience outside the music community.
Playing Experience
Fourth horn with Yakima Symphony; Principal horn with Seattle Wind Symphony; Principal horn with Seattle Modern Orchestra; Fourth Horn with Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra; Fourth horn with Bellevue Philharmonic from 2006-2011; Tacoma Symphony; on recordings by musicians including Dan Mangan, Jessie Sykes, and Sunn O))), as well as numerous collaborations with composers including Ewa Trebacz, Evan Flory-Barnes, and Eyvind Kang; considerable chamber music experience, as well as experience with jazz and other musical traditions.

Low and high horn, improvisation, music theory, extended techniques, orchestral repertoire, interpretation, performance, right hand techniques (including basic natural horn technique), chamber music.
