I hold a BA and MM in Horn performance from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where I studied with Greg Flint. As a teacher, I believe strongly in working to develop a student’s individual talent and potential and would be able to offer a patient, encouraging and inspiring experience for any student who wishes to study with me.

Julie is an active member of the fine arts community as a performer on the French horn, a writer for the Wisconsin Gazette news publication, and theater manager downtown at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. Her professional interests on the horn include studio and scoring session work, Broadway, opera and other/pit show work, orchestral performance and chamber music performance. She is a long standing member of Five’s Company Woodwind Quintet. Julie is also a capable soloist and enjoys taking on new and ambitious projects, particularly in the realm of collaborative theater. When she is not making music Julie enjoys supporting her friends and colleagues in the arts community by attending their fine arts performances. She is also an avid enthusiast of nature and Irish music and enjoys spending time with her beagle Giles-walking in the great outdoors!
