Qualifications
Graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance, Indiana University, 1984. Studied with Dale Clevenger, Philip Farkas, Michael Hatfield, Karl Pituch, Robert Elworthy.
Teaching Experience
Susan has taught horn privately since 1983 and has taught all levels successfully. Her current studio of horn and piano students includes 43 players. She was on the adjunct faculty at Wayne State University from 1988-93 and from 1999-2001. Susan also teaches theory, and is a conductor and composer as well. She has worked with horn students as young as 10 and as old as 79 and has taught students with special needs as well. One of her students is now a professional player with Axiom Brass Quintet.
