City: Northport

Alloy: Gold Brass
Bell: Fixed
Lacquer: All original
Case: BAGS Fixed Bell
Condition: Excellent
Other Details: ON TRIAL! This great c.1950s 103 has been played professionally and has been extremely well-maintained throughout its life. There is very little evidence of any dent raising and aside from some normal surface scratching on the inside of the bell (can be buffed out) the horn is in remarkable shape considering that it is almost 70 years old. Hand-picked at the Alexander factory by its original owner with excellent response and intonation in all ranges along with that gorgeous Alex sound. Valves are smooth and show very good compression. The thumb pad on the trigger has been professionally enlarged. The horn was last serviced by Landress Brass of NYC pre-pandemic in early 2020. The horn is sold with a nicely padded BAGS fixed bell case with room for a mute and generous music pocket. The price for this classic horn is non-negotiable - 1 week trials available. Thanks for looking! Buyer pays shipping to continental U.S.
ADSMANAGER_EXTRAS: BAGS case w/room for a mute and large music pocket; Alexander soft leather adjustable left hand strap (original pinky ring also included).
