Trompetist la corn francez - Muștiuc DWPax 5

My name is Dan and I’m picking up the French Horn to play with my local community band. I’m primarily a trumpet player have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education so I have an idea of which direction to go as far as practice, style, etc. I’m playing on a used Jupiter double horn - pretty standard, just something I borrowed from the group. I do need to pickup a mouthpiece and have heard good things about the Dennis Wick Paxman collab mouthpiece . I have purchased it and am waiting for it to show up but after looking more closely at the photos it looks like the shank diameter might be too large for the leadpipe.

My question - does anyone currently or has anyone played on this piece and know if it I’ll need a mouthpiece/shank adapter for it to fit in my horn? I don’t mind waiting for it to show up and making it work from there, but thought it couldn’t hurt to reach out. Thanks in advance for any help!

My guess is that the DWPax will have a standard French horn shank, and will fit without any problem or concern. Perhaps email the seller and ask if there is anything different about the shank than on other typical horn mouthpieces.

That's a good suggestion - thank you so much!! I was so concerned about finding one in stock I didn't even think to ask them about that... I figured they'd make sure the shank was standard etc. but I've been surprised in the past
