I've recently completed a trio for flute-alto flute, horn and piano, called "Changing Light". It was written for Kristy Morrell, hornist for the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra. It's ten minutes in duration and of moderate difficulty. There are alternate brief cadenza passages - one version for horn, another for flute - so different performances can feature either instrument.
