58th International Horn Symposium "Horn in the City of Kings" Krakow 2026

Rules of participation

The 58th International Horn Symposium "Horn in the City of Kings" Krakow 2026 will be held from 7 to 12 July 2026 at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, in cooperation with the International Horn Society.

  • Registration of participation takes place through the electronic system.
  • Early bird registration is open until March 31, 2026; standard registration is open from April 1 to May 20, 2026.
  • Participation in the Symposium is subject to a fee (with exceptions specified in separate regulations).
  • The events of the Symposium take place at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow and in places indicated by the Organizer.
  • Registered participants have the right to attend all events of the Symposium according to its schedule.
  • The Organizer has the right to change the Featured Artists and changes in the schedule.
  • Horn players can apply to participate as a Contributing Artist. Such artists must be registered as participants for the entire week. Applications for participation as a Contributing Artist are being accepted until February 1, 2026 via the electronic system. Interested artists will be informed about the acceptance of the candidacy for participation as a Contributing Artist by March 1, 2026. Contributing Artists will not be paid. Contributing Artists are responsible for their own registration, travel, lodging, and food. The Academy provides a pianist to perform if the Contributing Artist marks it as a need. The Academy does not provide musicians who play instruments other than the piano.

For particpants unfamiliar with wire transfers, we recommend visiting https://wise.com. This company allows users to pay with a credit or debit card from any currency to Euros, at a processing fee much lower than most banks will charge for sending a wire transfer. One tip for using Wise: choose your currency in the upper box, Euros in the lower, and enter your registration fee amount in Euros in the lower box. It will be converted back to your home currency.

Note that to claim the IHS member rate, you must enter your membership number on the registration form. To see your membership number look in the upper right corner of this page. If it says "Welcome, Guest," log in and that will be replaced by your member number.

  2. early full registration (until 31.03.2026) – persons without IHS membership - 370 Euros
  3. early full registration (until 31.03.2026) – IHS student members – 200 Euros
  4. early full registration (until 31.03.2026) – students without IHS membership – 250 Euros
  5. full registration on 01.04.2026 – 20.05.2026 – IHS members – 350 Euros
  6. full registration from 01.04.2026 to 20.05.2026 – persons without IHS membership - 450 Euros
  7. full registration on 01.04.2026 – 20.05.2026 – IHS member students – 300 Euros
  8. full registration on 01.04.2026 – 20.05.2026 – students without IHS membership – 350 Euros
  9. one-day admission – IHS members – 60 Euros
  10. one-day admission – people without IHS membership - 100 Euros
  11. one-day admission – IHS student members – 50 Euros
  12. one-day admission – students without IHS membership – 80 Euros
  13. full registration - persons born after 01.01.2008 – 180 Euros
  14. one-day admission – persons born after 01.01.2008 – 50 Euros

In the event of the participant's resignation from participation in the Symposium, the Organizer will refund the fee paid after deducting:

  • resignation by 20 May 2026 – 50% refund of the fee paid
  • resignation from 21 May to 20 June 2026 – 25% refund of the fee paid
  • cancellation after June 21, 2026 – no refund of the fee

Responsibility

Participants are responsible for any damage caused to the Academy and property of the Exhibitors on their own.

It is forbidden to enter the events of the Symposium for persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
