Teaching Experience
-French Horn Lecturer, CSU Stanislaus, 2022-2023.

-French Horn Instructor, Concordia University Irvine, 2021-2022.
-Private Horn Instructor, 1995-present. Erika has maintained a private studio for more than 25 years. While in the SF Bay area she was the horn coach for the El Camino Youth Symphony as well as seven middle and high schools. She also taught horn at the University of San Francisco, 2002-2003. Between 1999-2001, Erika served as horn teacher at the Ann Arbor School for the Performing Arts, the All-State Program at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, and the Summer Arts Institute in Ann Arbor, MI. Her students often perform in youth orchestras, including the El Camino Youth Symphony, California Youth Symphony, San Francisco Youth Symphony and Peninsula Youth Symphony. Students frequently receive command and superior ratings at CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festivals, and participate in their All-District Honor Bands and the All-State Honor Band.
Playing Experience
In addition to her teaching, Erika Wilsen is a freelance performer. She enjoys performing with many ensembles, including the symphony orchestras of Pacific Symphony, La Jolla Symphony and Chorus, Santa Cruz, Fremont, and Vallejo as well as the Peninsula Ballet Theatre, St. Peter's Chamber Orchestra, the San Francisco Chorale Society, the San Francisco Lyric Opera, Opera San Jose, and Broadway By the Bay. She has played with Barry Manilow and Josh Groban. She loves chamber music and was a founding member of Avenue Winds in the Bay Area and now in San Diego plays with ensembles such as the Left Coast Quintet.
