With generous additional support from the Northwest Horn Society, the event will feature concerts, masterclasses, lectures, competitions, and playing opportunities for hornists of all ages and experiences.

    Join us for the University of Nevada, Reno High Brass Summit (Trumpet and Horn Day)!  Attend engaging presentations, participate in interactive masterclasses, learn about and try an alphorn or büchel, participate in a mass ensemble, and attend a featured artist recital, all while connecting with fellow high brass players!p

    Trumpet and Horn Day: 12pm-5pm (check-in begins at 11:30am; 1:30pm for middle school students) Artist Recital: 5:30pm, Hall Recital Hall (open to the public)
    Featuring:  Phil Snedecor (Professor of Trumpet at the Hart School), Brett Hodge, (Principal Horn of the Omaha Symphony), Natalie B. Higgins, (Associate Professor of Horn at UNR), Jonathan Bhatia, (Lecturer of Trumpet at UNR), The Sierra Alphorn Players.

    Participants should bring their own instruments. Observers are welcome and do not need instruments. Check in will take place outside the University Foundation Arts Building, Hall Recital Hall, (2nd floor).

    This event is *FREE*!  Registration is required.
