Teaching Experience
I am currently the Instructor of Horn at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. I have taught private lessons for students aged 9 to 90 since 2005. While at LSU, I completed my Bachelors of Music Education and attained LA State Teachers Certification for K-12 instrumental and vocal music. During that time, I student taught middle school for a semester as well as taught high school horn sectionals for area band programs. My current students consistently attain high scores at both District and State Solo and Ensemble Festival. They also audition well, making Middle School and High School Area and State Honor Band and Orchestra and place into the WI Youth Symphony ensembles. They have competed in the WYSO Concerto Competition, the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition, and have placed in the finals for the UW Music Clinic Tuition Remission Award. I have been horn faculty at the junior and senior sessions of the UW Summer Music Clinic since 2013. I also teach at the Lesson Academy at Central Heights Middle School (Sun Prairie, WI) and have taught master classes at many high schools around southern WI.
