Winners of the 2012 Awards and Competitions have been announced.
IHS Premier Soloist Competition
Finalists for the IHS Premier Solooist Competition are Caroline Harris, Michael J. Hill, Trevor Nuckols, Shelby Nugent, and A. Joshua Robinson. The 5 finalists perform the "Final" round on Wednesday, May 16th, at 5pm in Voertman Hall. Preliminary round adjudicators were Hans Pizka, Esa Tapani, Bruno Schneider, Johnny Pherigo, Kristin Thelander. The 2012 IHS Premier Soloist "Finals" Competition judges are David Thompson, Joe Ognibene, Nozomu Segawa, Peter Luff and Lisa Bontrager.
2012 Jon Hawkins Award
Winner of the 2012 award is Austin Larson. The adjudicating panel for the Hawkins Award included David Thompson, Joseph Ognibene, Virginia Thompson, Jeff Agrell and Jeff Nelsen.
2012 Barry Tuckwell Award
Winner of the 2012 award is Trevor Nuckols. Barry Tuckwell Award adjudicators were Barry Tuckwell, Michael Hatfield and Frank Lloyd.
2012 Paul Mansur Award
Winner of under 18 age group: Rory Onishi.
Winner of over 18 age group: Austin Larson
Judges for the Paul Mansur Award were William Scharnberg, chair, Michael Hatfield and Marian Hesse.
