The mission of the International Horn Society is "to be the principal source of information about the horn and the activities of the IHS, and to promote horn playing, fellowship, and communication between hornists worldwide."
Workshops are among the most important programs that the IHS operates. As well as holding the annual international symposium, the Society encourages and helps support regional workshops as opportunities for students, amateurs, educators, and professionals to meet; exchange ideas; attend performances, lectures, and masterclasses; visit and learn from exhibits; and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow horn enthusiasts.
